Hey guys! I’m 26; student living in Germany. I’m currently planning to get some tattoos and since I have an Albanian heritage (my parents are Albanians from Kosovo who fled the war) I wanted to somehow acknowledge this heritage with a small tattoo. I’m not looking for the usual stuff like the shqiponje, skenderbeg or something like that (even tho I respect and value these symbols & national heroes). I always struggled with my heritage since I usually visited Kosovo max. Once per year and just couldn’t really connect with family and the culture but I’ve gotten into the works of Ismail Kadare recently and the recent death of my grandfather made me feel a stronger connection. So I’d love to maybe get some ideas for some subtle symbols or maybe Albanian sayings. Every idea is a great help! Thanks in advance!
