I am Yuning, a bachelor’s student from Leiden University writing my final thesis on the national identity of Kosovo. Please fill out the form below if you are interested in being interviewed for my final thesis project.

The interview questions will center around the following themes: 1) In your opinion, is there a common national identity shared among the Kosovo citizens? 2) If so, what do you think constitute this Kosovar identity? If not, then why? 3) Are there particular symbols, collective memories, or ideas that the government is using or evoking that shape/influence the identity formation of the Kosovo citizens?

The interview session will not be very formal or strict. I imagine it to be more like a talk between two classmates/friends on the issue. We can always skip a question or change/add questions based on your preference.

You do not have to research the questions nor do you have to know for certain the questions I ask. I just want to know your personal experience and ideas on these matters.

The interview will take around 15 minutes (max). But if you are happy to discuss more on the issue we can always have a longer session. Just let me know in advance if you would like to have a longer session.

The interview will be in English and can be held on Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Meet, etc. based on your preference. You can always leave your camera off if it is more comfortable for you.

The interview would be in May. You can expression your preferences in the form.

This interview is only for those who have lived (for a considerable amount of period) or are currently living in Kosovo (meaning those who have held or still hold the Kosovo Passport). This is regardless of your ethnic identity.

For the purpose of my research, I would have to record an audio of our interview session.
I will not share this recording with anyone else nor use it outside of this thesis paper.
